CCA PRESERVATIVE TREATMENT SERVICE
At TTT Products we provide a Custom Processing Service. Customers can bring in their roundwood or timber for Steaming and/or CCA Preservative Treatment.
In preparation for treatment, timber and roundwood are sometimes steamed to release moisture from the wood cells in order for the CCA Preservative to be able to penetrate. Steaming is not always required, and in fact some timbers are not suitable for steaming.
We can treat most timber and roundwood to the treatment levels specified above. However in order to comply with the applicable New Zealand Timber Preservation Council standards the timber or roundwood provided must be of sufficient quality to allow us to treat it properly. This refers to grade, dryness, and level of preservative treatment required. The higher the treatment number requested the better the grade the timber or roundwood needs to be.
QUALITY CONTROL
As a member of the New Zealand Timber Preservation Council (NZTPC) our treatment procedures are audited and tested four times each year. In order to comply with the NZTPC Woodmark Quality Assurance programme we must meet the targets specified in the programme for treatment quality and documentation. TTT Products have been a member of the NZTPC since 1993.
